Brittany Guffey. President
Brittany Guffey has been a representative with Transamerica Agency Network for almost 6 years, has completed their Leadership Development Program and holds a life and health license in Kentucky and Tennessee. She has been a member of the Monticello-Wayne County Chamber of Commerce for 10+ years and served on the board of directors for approximately 4 years now. She has completed Leadership Lake Cumberland, is an Ambassador for the Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce and previously served on the board of directors as a programs and membership committee chair for the Lake Cumberland Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (branch of NAIFA).
Suzanna Powell, Vice-President
Suzanna is a native of Monticello and graduated from Wayne County High School. She continued her education at Campbellsville University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1996. She has been a member of the Monticello-Wayne County Chamber of Commerce for over 15 years and has been a Board member for 12 years. As a Board Member, she represents Air Attack Signs. Suzanna is married to Jay Powell and they have two children, Dylan and Kallie
Derek Phillips, Secretary
Derek is the founder and president of Deco Architects, Inc. and manages the firm daily. His vision for the firm has always been to bring high-end design concepts and practices home to his native Lake Cumberland Region, for implementation on real-world projects. Derek began his career in building construction by helping his grandfather build decks and homes during summer breaks around age 12; he followed up on that experience with successful stints at Conley Bottom Resort (marina), Davis H Elliot (electrical contractors), and Central Kentucky Design (architects). In graduate school, Derek was granted an opportunity to travel to Norway and Belgium to learn under some of the premier architects in the world at Spacegroup and JDS Architects, respectively.

Active in the Physical Therapy Association holding multiple office both on
state and national level including the APTA Board Executive Committee.
Active in several civic groups including Kiwanis, Rotary club in Somerset,
Monticello Country Club, and others.

Emily Conley is a 2006 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where she completed her bachelor's in Business Administration emphasis in Human Resource Management. She has been with Barnes & Noble College for 18 years and completed their National Management Training program in 2003. She has held various operational and managerial positions with B&N and is now the Bookstore Director at Somerset Community College and Regional Certified Trainer for KY & TN area locations. She received the 2017 Barnes & Noble Campus Leadership Award and enjoys serving her College Community and local community in any way possible. She is a currently in the 2019 BRIGHT Leadership Kentucky Class, an Ambassador for the Somerset-Pulaski Chamber of Commerce and Serves on the Strategic Enrollment Planning Committee for SCC. Emily, along with her husband Jamie Conley, live in Monticello Ky where they operate a local grain farm near Lake Cumberland. They have 2 young children Rex, 7 and Bryce, 5 and they ALL love UK Basketball!
Scott Upchurch is the manager of the Monticello Utility Commission. He received a BA in Telecommunications with a Minor in Political Science from the University of Kentucky. He is active in First Baptist Church of Monticello and Gideons International. He has been a Chamber member and on the Board of Directors for 6 years.
